One of the most rewarding parts of this role is building strong, beautiful relationships with clients.
I am incredibly grateful for the lovely words past clients have passed along about our time together.
I started working with Becca pretty early in my first trimester. I was a nervous wreck because I had miscarried my pregnancy prior. Best decision I made for myself and my baby! Becca's support brought an ease and confidence to the table that allowed me to move through my pregnancy and actually enjoy it! I labored for 40 hours and in that time period had to make a lot of decisions. Rebecca made sure I understood and was making the best choices for me throughout it all. My daughter is now 10 weeks old and I am still receiving wellness checks and support! I'd 100% recommended Becca to any excepting moms !!
...Rebecca was absolutely perfect! She was so supportive for both me and Jacob! She helped me stick to my birth plan when it got hard and I wanted to quit. She literally held me up while I gave birth. She vibed so well with us and it was so special to have her as part of our team. She has been supportive after birth, helping me with any concerns and questions. She has such a positive personality. Jacob and I are so glad we had her support. My labor could not have gone any better!
I truly believe that Becca was a huge factor in making my first birthing experience an extremely positive one. She never felt like a stranger, even from the first time we met. Her demeanor is so joyful, calming, and accepting. I am a person who likes a lot of information when faced with a new challenge and she was thorough and organized with the resources provided. Knowing that she was there, guiding us through the birth of my baby, I was not nervous at all. I am so grateful for her important work!
Rebecca is one of those people who immediately felt like a close, trusted friend the moment we met. She is genuine, calm, confident, nonjudgemental, and supportive of whatever vision you have for your birth, all while providing evidence based resources so you can make informed decisions. Having her support throughout pregnancy, during birth, and after, increased my confidence and knowledge as a first time mom. During my unmedicated birth, Rebecca’s coaching and support throughout was the key factor in me achieving a low intervention birth. I can’t even fathom future pregnancies or births without her by my side! Simply put, I would recommend Rebecca to any pregnant woman who is craving the support of a knowledgeable advocate who will always have your best interests at heart.
I knew I wanted to give birth in a hospital, possibly get induced (which I did), potentially get an epidural (which I did), and could possibly have a c-section (which I did). I wasn’t sure what doula support would look like or whether it would be “worth it” without an unmediated birth center birth. But Rebecca was worth every dollar and more—she was constantly available via text, email, and phone for all my anxious questions in the months leading up to birth, and provided detailed, science-based information (and emotional support!). At the birth itself, she was essential, working with medical staff to move me into different positions, coaching, affirming, and feeding my husband, and keeping me grounded, supported, and cared for during some of the most stressful hours of my life. I can’t imagine going through my birth experience without her!
As a first-time mom and someone who struggles with anxiety, I knew I could use all of the support that I could get for my pregnancy. Becca not only provided the knowledge about my pregnancy and birth experience & labor support that I was looking for, but gave me mental and emotional support around my entire prenatal and postpartum journey like a close friend. Her care for myself, as well as my husband throughout the experience, meant the world to us. I'm so glad just to have met such a wonderful & positive person in this world doing so much good for others! <3
My birth was a planned home birth assisted by midwives and wonderful Becca. I went into labor in the evening, and Becca was immediately responsive with suggestions to progress my labor, and keep my body calm. She arrived at our home as soon as I needed her, and was a literal hand to hold (squeeze, nearly crush!) throughout the whole process. She provided words of affirmation that resonated, suggestions for positioning to progress labor, and acts of great service like warming water for the brith tub and preparing cool compresses. The support she provided to me and to my husband allowed us to manage labor at home, and be truly present for the birth itself. Post partum, she has been just as wonderful and essential, checking in to ensure I am resting enough, providing tips and resources on breastfeeding, and helping me establish a post-partum mama community in the area. Becca is truly walking sunshine, and I cannot imagine haivng gone through this process without her.
Rebecca was absolutely wonderful during my pregnancy and birth experience. She answered all my late night questions, concerns and provided exceptional feedback always with kindness and was incredibly supportive. Even during my labor and emergency c-section, she was calm, reassuring and held my held through the entire process. She guided me through the labor and c-section process with clear instructions and was such a huge comfort for me. Even after my son was born she followed up with questions and status updates on not just my child but myself. My well-being, mentally, physically and emotionally. I seriously couldn't have gone through this entire process without her. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
